An amorphous hydrogel creates a moist wound environment and is non-cytotoxic. The polymer used is water swellable allowing it to absorb exudate yet remain gel-like until saturated. This allows to remain on the wound longer than gels using water-miscible (soluble) polymers.

A one-step island dressing that helps prevent site contamination and avoids the multiple steps of building a gauze and tape dressing. This water-resistant, non-woven polyester dressing helps reduce the potential of moisture contamination and the strike-through effect. Conformable and very gentle on the skin.
Indicated for the management of exuding, granulating wounds on the sacrum by secondary intent. Prepare and clean the skin surrounding the wound by removing excess moisture. Start to remove the protector material and anchor the adhesive side of the dressing to the skin. When positioning the dressing, place the narrow end of the dressing a minimum of ¾" above the anal sphincter, then remove any remaining protector material and smooth the dressing over the sacrum. The dressing should not be used with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressings.
Contains 2% miconazole nitrate. For treatment of superficial fungal infections, including jock itch (tines cruris), ringworm (tinea corporis), athlete's foot (tinea pedis).
